Appalachian Electropop
Hey guys, I play in this band called The Jellyrox. I love synths and pop music. Thought it might be worth sharing our new EP on here. This was done almost entirely on a juno106 and a dsi mopho.
Hope you enjoy!!!!

I like everything except the whiny vocals.

Re: Appalachian Electropop
What's appalachian about this? I don't hear any banjos or fiddles...
Very nicely done, great production and I liked the vocals actually. I hate that androgynous synth pop vocal style...vocalist reminds me of Steve Perry of Journey or even Donny Osmond
How many band members? I can never tell by listening

I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

Not my cup of tea, my girlfriend loves it though.. the production quality is extremely professional... any commercial exposure yet?

Re: Appalachian Electropop
I thought the vocals sounded almost like they were auto-tuned, which contrasted a lot (maybe too much) with the straight-up retro vibe of the instrumentals. I mean, the backing tracks sounded like they were recorded in 1983 (and I mean that in a good way). The production was professional and the tracks, when considered as a whole, sounded great.

This instead.
Re: Appalachian Electropop
@ Jabber:
My thoughts as well, it may not even be someone from the actual band. Probably some sort of "street team" advertising push. ...as long as its in the listening lounge i guess.
I haven't heard anything new from you lately Jabber, are you still working on Kalevala?

A big thanks to all the encouraging words guys, I really appreciate it! Thanks for taking the time to listen. To clarify, its only appalachian in the fact that its made in and inspired a lot by the mountains i live in:-)
