Dem Jamz 5: Plugiator Paralysis!

Post by elmosexwhistle » Fri Nov 08, 2013 11:35 am

Sup chickens :)

It's time for the 5th installment of Dem Jamz! This one focuses on the little box of wonders that is the Use Audio Plugiator. A small DSP synth, it features high quality emulations of vintage synths such as the Minimoog, Arp Odyssey, Prophet 5 and some unique wavetable and FM synthesis options.

All synth sounds come from the plugiator, with a little post processing. I added some drums and guitar to fill out the sound. Because this box offers such a variety of synthesis engines, you can do alot with it.

Songs:

- Leipzig (Thomas Dolby cover)
- Off Your Face
- Don't Blow It! (feat. Johnny Normal)

Enjoy!

Nice job, Elmo. Care to give us your impressions of the Plugiator? Easy to use? PITA? Pluses? Minuses?

I'm sure many here will be impressed by your performance in drag, too.

Umm ... that was a joke 'til I saw the last bit ... uhhh ...
Muhahahahahahahahaha!

AHAHAHAHA

Yeah it's good, if you're fine with software editing the editors have nice big resizeable panels, then you program your presets and then take the box to the gig, with 8 or so knobs (not assignable) to tweak live.

It's a little precarious to setup, but my goodness, the sound quality is amazing, especially the Minimax, very moog-like warmth for basses.

Oh and PS, NOT MULTITIMBRAL, so you'll have to render your takes in the DAW, which I'm fine with.

The vocoder parts as well, right?

I don't like the drums, but the drums like me!
