I have yet to find a high quality demo of the MP7 online, so I decided to try one out and make some higher quality (i.e., not using the camera mic) videos. I think there's one other video I thought did the command stations justice...

Anyway, here's the track:

Lovely. The build-up was too long and repetitive for me though! It could definitely be developed a lot more generally too - more layers, melody, drums, swooshes, etc. Again, just a personal thing and it's probably intended to a be minimal piece. Very nice though.

Thanks Ned,

Yeah... You're probably right. Honestly, this thing is a pain in the a*s to use. Not really intuitive at all. The presets are really hard to get anything useful out of and it's sort of a bigger pain to create your own!

Just wanted to get something out with this damn thing. I paid for it and probably will sell it! Hah.

Thanks for your input!

Haha, thanks tommorowstops! I like this song a lot more having separated myself from the writing process!

It's a fun little unit!

Next device: Korg ESX. We shall see how it sounds!

Sigh
Is it the 18th yet?

(I can pick up my XL-7 at Guitar Center on the 18th)

Nice! Does it come with any other ROMs than the Xtreme Lead? I used the Xtreme lead in this piece (the pads for sure). I had to do some tweaking of the sounds though, they're not very good otherwise!

How much did it run you?
