Quantum String Theory..ambient.funk...I think.

My new EP. 4 tracks and some abstract imagery for the video.
Mostly guitar and some synths.
Disclaimer: Some guitar parts sound like synths.

Official Notes say:
Quantum String Theory
Fallout Shelter pin points and plucks strings to interact and gravitate towards a release that's a somber simmering soundtrack to the fundamental forces and forms of matter. What matters is Domino Grey, Drew Spence, Dynamics Plus and Xodus Phoenix.

Track Listing
1) Black Dress Blues
2) Temper Temper
3) Run Slow
4) Dull Breeze for Study

Very interesting pieces ... it reminds me of a much more mellow 'Bitches Brew' in that parts of it are very abstract yet it all ticks along nicely.

How did you record your guitars???? Did you DI them or mic up the amps ... the reason i ask is that I have written quite a few guitar tracks but have never recorded them properly because I just can't get a good recording of them ... DI is too noisy (way too much string noise) and putting a mic in front of the amp never sounds any good ... your guitar sounds really clean and spacey ... lovely work

Thank you sir!

It's a Line 6 HD500.

I did nothing special besides tweak some of the extra presets (I think it was a holiday bundle from when it first came out). I used several different 'tones' per song and some are layered. Mixing, I only evened out some of the spike-y dynamics and the DAWs reverb in some places.

I agree with Tekhed66 very clean, spacey sound. Your music reminds me of my saying that music is a "drug". No need to smoke something, drink or whatever else. Just slap on the headphones and you're transported elsewhere. I was floating in quantum energy fields for 17 minutes! Thanks for the lift man!
