ok, so i am fairly inexperienced when it comes to compression, but i have been looking to get a new compressor (two actually or one stereo unit). i have seen the rnc mentioned on here quite a few times, but has anyone used the rnla? are there any functional differences between that and the rnc? also, could anybody relate to me the differences in sound they might produce (i.e. more/less transparent, saturated, thick and creamy etc...)? i emailed fmr about this a few months ago and got no response. :(

Haven't used the RNLA much but I'm planning on getting one, but unfortunately it's on a fairly long list of things I'm planning on getting.

Anyway, the RNC is very transparent while the RNLA is coloured. The RNC makes things sound tighter and focussed, but the RNLA makes things sound like they're going through a sweet compressor. Get both. :D
