did you change the LEDs? when i replaced some of the pots on my J6, putting the control panel back into the casing wasn't even vaguely tricky, maybe its a manufacturing difference. works soooo nice now that the pots work perfectly! the bad news: the chipforbrains repro knobs (the plastic knobs, not the pots) are slightly too small for both the original and replacement pots.StepLogik wrote:FYi, getting the panel boards A & B mounted back onto the front panel was a nightmare... getting all the LED's to go back into the plastic sockets and the switches/knobs to line up was pure evil.
I took a wire brush to the chassis after removing the guts. I got most of it out, but there is still some stained areas and small pockets of rust. Someone had spilled a beer or soda in there and so there was this thick, sticky goo all over everything. I used alcohol and paint thinner to clean it all up. how'd you go removing the rust? did you get it all out? or are there still pits etc?

Stock LED's. I wish I had gone ahead and replaced them with blue ones, but I couldn't find any that matched. I did have the pots and sliders replaced with new ones.xpander wrote:did you change the LEDs?
