roland sh101 - broken saw wave

Postby smith toppleton » Mon Dec 24, 2007 4:09 am

Although the square and sub waves are still functioning in my sh101, the saw has gone completely silent, regardless of its slider position.

Because the other waves (wave?) function normally I'd have to guess that there are no problems with the oscillator, but does anybody know what might be wrong with the saw wave? Would this be an easy fix or a case of an irreplaceable analog part?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions (and sorry if I missed a similar topic in my searches of the archive).

Maybe your slider is broken. Open it up and try to test the output before it goes to the slider and mixer. Hopefully you just need a new slider.

Check music machines on hyperreal and I believe the service manual is there, if not then I can give you a copy. If you determine it is the slider, then I think chipforbrains (on ebay) sells sets of them.
