The closest I ever got to a pre-owned-by-a-legend instrument would be my first 12-string guitar, a Framis. It was supposed to have been made at the same factory where guitars purchased by Bill Wyman and John Lennon were assembled. (All else I've owned is either new or used-and-battered by "nameless faces."
The greatest thing we ever have is the will to survive.

my Supernova 2 belonged to someone pretty well-known.
But i have no idea who since i bought it from an agent in L.A., and was more interested in the synth than who used to play it. When i asked why are you selling the agent said "he's going software".

I bought 4 RSF Kobol Expanders, an Expander 2 and a Polyclavier from David Hentschel.
I had Jay Kay from Jamiroquai old 3 cabinet Roland System 100m and 184 keyboard.
I had an SY77 from Pascal Gabriel that he used on Dido's "Here with me".
I sold a Pulse to Rui Da Silva, I have heard one of my old Oberheim OB1's ended up with Richard James, but have not found out for sure yet.
I think thats it.

i usually like buying from people who don't use their stuff since it looks nicer...
i recently bought a couple high-end Super Prime Time Lexicon delays that likely belonged to Jerry Goldsmith. i bought 'em out of a little run-down apartment in the north bay with a big stash of stellar oldies- an Arp 2600, a Memorymoog, an Xpander, a minty Marshall stack- it was killer stuff, really fun to stumble into. craigslist is fun!

You mean the two round stickers on the side panels from a world tour? If so, you did indeed play the same oneOMNI26 wrote:Small world, Calyx93, as I had played that very same Oscar Peterson Wave 2.2 back in 1994 or so at one of its previous owner's house in Virginia. It also came in a touring case with REFUGEE - CANADIAN BAND stenciled several times on it. Don't know much about them, but apparently they used it too. Anyone know this band?
