The issue with the internal foam in the Rogue is well documented but just in case anyone on here owns one and hasn’t tackled it, I thought I’d have a go at my recently acquired Rogue over the weekend. Before I start I really don’t need any of the well known synth techs (or their wives) launching a scathing attack on what I’ve done, but I would welcome any constructive criticism or advice on how I could have done it better. I’m not a synth tech, nor am I trying to steal their business, I’m just wondering how other owners have tackled this problem.
I managed to ‘catch’ the foam on mine before it had completely turned to goo so that was a bonus:
The old foam removed with a scraper and Isopropyl alcohol:
After masking, I primed and sprayed the inside of the case to hopefully prevent corrosion. I also fitted some new foam with slits for the sliders. (I also cut round discs of foam for the rocker switches):
Keyboard assembly was stripped and cleaned:
