I cant remember the name of the product or who makes it, but I recall being in guitar center and seeing a mic stand with some kind of half hexagonal padding around the area where the mic goes, i suppose to deaden the air around it
anyway, who makes these, and are they worth getting?
mic stand padding?

Re: mic stand padding?
it could have been auralex, but this was a specific type of padding that attached to the mic stand and wrapped around the mic in a half hexagonal shape, probably to deaden the air around it
what I want to know is who makes those things, and are they really worth looking into? or do they deaden the 'room' too much

Re: mic stand padding?
found a few:
http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/ ... sku=421589
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Reflexion/
http://www.realtraps.com/p_pvb.htm
RealTraps did some tests and says theirs beats the SE R for the same price, but whatever. i like that the PVB is bigger; just makes sense that it would block more sound. for the record, i haven't used any of these. hope this helps.
