It's finished!

Well, my small modular is finally finished. Well, as finished as it can get for now =o] I had a custom case and psu built courtesy of George Mattson. We spent 9 fricken hours on that case! I chose the wood (figured maple), chose where in the planks the pieces would be cut. The pices were originally 1" thick, so we plained them down to 3/8" thickness. That alone took about 2 hours. After that was done, we marked and cut the pieces, then George did all the precise measuring and cutting of the angles. The case was sanded with 6 different grades of paper then oiled with Linseed Oil to bring out the figuring and grain and smooth it out. It really looks great i think. And George went above and beyond what i was expecting! This is all thanks to him =o] I haven't plugged it in yet, so i can't comment on the module's sounds yet =o] Here's a few images, the set can be found here

looks like it has enough of an inlay on the front to be able to cover it with another panel for transport if thats what you were thinking too.
What modules do you have in there (generic names please... I know nothing of brand parts for modulars.. just yours looks about the size I was thinking of for my own if I ever start one)

same, i'm more interested in sound quality than super flexible experimental synth FX. and a small modular like that looks like a cool option for good sound.

Yes, i'm really pleased with how the case turned out. Paint it? No way. That would negate the hours and hours spent on getting the finish so nice.
