You know, this could be interesting if you'd explained why you chose each one. As it is it's just a list of words that don't mean anything.

When I first clicked this thread, I was going to say how damn stupid it is, but then he went ahead and compared the AX-60 to Lance Henriksen!
AWESOME. HAHAHAHA

Re: Rank synth by what celebrity they resemble
this was intended to be a parody of all the "rank synth blah blah blah" threads. As I started to think about it I immediately thought of certain celebrities based on looks, sounds, and general quirks.veer chasm wrote:Juno 106 = Ellen Degeneres

The Juno is the lesbian of synths, it looks girlie but could probably kick your a*s. Sweet string sounds on the surface but hard bass sounds to boot.
The moog lpse2 is dark, stumpy, and monotone.... Like Robert smith.
Ax60 has a harsh sound, it looks like something from Alien, thus Lance. Raspy voice and edgy actor.
The Ion is good looking but has weird stuff going on upstairs. Ghost knob movements etc etc. Farrah fawcett by way of her last Letterman appearance. Good to look at but strange and unpredictable.
Nord lead. Too good looking in that red to be a synth. Daneuve, too cool to be an actress.
This was meant to be a fun mental exercise. Look at or listen to your synth, close your eyes, think of the first actor/ actress that comes to mind. Viola! I feel like that Freff (sp?) guy that did columns for Keyboard

Are you running OS 1.06? Most claim it solved the ghost editing problem. Mine has always been at that version and I've never had that problem.veer chasm wrote: The Ion is good looking but has weird stuff going on upstairs. Ghost knob movements etc etc.

My Prophet T8 is Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Breathtaklingly beautiful. Refined and classy. Very intelligent. Sounds wonderful.
A body that gets you so excited you don't even know where to start.
Clearly, I've thought about this way too much.
