"Old Creek On The Witch Mountain" Part 1 & 2
Feel free to check my MySpace page : http://www.myspace.com/thmsynthfreak
New track added : "Old Creek On The Witch Mountain" Part 1 & 2 ; starts with nature sounds all coming from my ARP 2600, and then some simple sequence with strings and choir added.
I'm curious to hear any comments, so please don't hesitate to post your reactions (may be positive or negative critics)...

Very nice. If I may make a suggestion, some of the sound effects at the beginning should be a little farther back, not so present. Almost like they are in the distance. It would make them more mysterious.
Also, I think the track should start with all the background ambience in place, with a nice fade-in, instead of starting with the crickets and adding things in.
Just my two cents.

But now seriously: I agree that this is hateful that tracks have been splitted up and that you can't download it yet, but my purpose is to bring out a few of these current tracks as a CD album; I'll look out for a label soon, and I'm afraid that no label will be interested anymore if they see that the tracks are already online for download, you see !?
So my apologies for this temporary inconvenience.
Cheers,

Like it a lot THM. Excellent work on the nature sounds with the 2600 and thought the track developed well with the sequence and pads. I'd be interested in your CD album when you release it.

Thanks JMP for the nice comments !
It's my purpose to bring a CD album out soon. I'm currently working on an EMS Synthi track for The Synthi Group Vol. 2 (deadline for that track is early December), and then I'll do the finishing touch for "The Heidelberg Mystery" title track.
Thanks again & see you...

Oh, this is good! Reminds me of Tim Blake's best stuff.
If I may, to echo other comments - you need to add a bit of depth to the mix. ie. panning parts left, right to position them, perhaps with some of the non-musical parts further away (quieter, reverb with long reverb times).
On the delayed arp (ha! pun) are you using reverb? You might want to drop some of that when the string pads come in, to give the mix clarity. About the pads, perhaps some light chorus to widen the stereo image? Bear in mind, I am listening on shite headphones; none of this may actually apply.
All in all, a sterling effort sir. Despite not being my usual type of music, it manages to be my type of music - if you know what I mean.
Btw, I've just looked at your equipment list. Bastard!
