it has a transistor ladder filter, that can self oscillate and do sine. this is sort of a mini version of minimoog - VCO3 can be switched to LOW, send to filter or other VCOs. but there are extras: it has both individal CV IN for each VCO (!!), and individual VCO outputs. there's a lot of options with pathing to other stuff right there. there is a PWM input on VCO3 as well. also, compared to mini, you don't have a noise generator (tho you can add one thru external audio input) but gain oscillator sync, and a switch to use filter envelope on VCO2 (sync slave). so classic sync sweep leads are possible.
what i find most exciting, Ken said the built of the VCO/VCF/VCAs is the same (high) quality of his 3U X-modules, and new Mk1 modular stuff.
i see this as standalone moogy bass/lead/drone synth or, if used w a few other euro modules, like cpl of attenuators/mixers n modulators, as all fundamentals of a small modular.
