Have a listen to this:
First, the raw/dry poly 800 patch.
Then the onboard Delay added.
Does anybody know; is that crackling noise normal, or is my unit busted in some section?
Does the Poly 800 mk2 crackle ?

Re: Does the Poly 800 mk2 crackle ?
I dont hear any crackling, but I would say the 800s are not know for their exceptionally clean sounds. I've never owned one that didn't have noise somewhere in it except my near mint ex800 i got from a friend.

I hear it loud and clear. My EX-800 doesn't have any noise like that. I would say check your signal path, but it sounds like the noise only comes into play when the on-board delay is added. I would find a service manual for the MK-II and locate the IC's for the on-board effects, and check them accordingly.
