And it sounds great! But I don't expect it to have any Roland samples or in depth emulation of the D-50, so kind of pointless to use D-50 visuals. But nice anyway. I still hope for a real D-50 VSTi sometime.

Compared to that Cubase transport window, this plugin is rather huge.. maybe a bit too huge for comfort.

You're right.
I hate VSTs that fill the screen. Prefer them in the Pro-53 or PolySix Legacy format.

Hey the demo's out now;
even with it's limitations, it sounds very good.
but wow, that gui is friggin' huge!

Re: TubeOhm soon to release D-50 look-alike VST
Hmm yeah well. On my 1680x1050 display it occupies some 75% screen space. It means that for people with big screens this is probably a clear looking plug in, but netbooks, and smaller notebooks (or heck, desktops with small monitors) will find this plug in little practical.
At first glance:
- I find the GUI a bit overwhelming, and some sections are overly complex (the effects routing, to name something).
- Samples are single ones, not multi samples, so don't expect any convincing pianos 'n such.
- I hate circular knob movement, especially when I've set up the DAW to have linear movement.
It's not yet a JV/JD. But, I guess there's some purpose in this one. I'm not sure though whether I'm going to like it.
