Sweet. But be warned... there's a rumor that Dave sells bad pot(s) (LOL x1000)

Any way to know by serial number if my MEK is part of bad batches?

I sold my MEK a few years ago, it is a cracking little synth however. The digital side is really nasty :D

I am super jealous. God I want one, so bad. You think I'd be satisfied with the MEK, P'08, and Mopho desktop...but I STILL have such a strong desire for the PEK. Enjoy the h**l out of it!

What's the use of the Mopho if you have a P'08 ?

The Mopho and P08 are similar yet different.

Mopho adds a nice Feedback loop, 2 sub-Oscs and a filter input socket.

I would imagine those to be his reasons :D

The MEK gets tough love here on VSE and elsewhere sometimes, it seems. A great many people expect it to sound like Keith Emerson, and when they get it and try it out they end up creating the Devil's own lead riff instead...

The most sonically capable, noise-bending, knobular, far-reaching, spit-for-breakfast monosynth ever released, IMHO... the Flying V of lead synths. The digital grittiness, filters, the sequencer, the bitcrushing, multidelays, the tuned feedback and third envelope.... have you plugged anything in the back of it yet and used it as a filterbox?
Less words more noise

That's one of the primary reasons I got it - the ability for input.

And to be honest I've had it a couple days now and I'm so busy being amazed at its own features that I havn't even bothered to plug anything else in yet! Hah!

The sequencer is -amazing-, I wish it had 32 steps though, so far that's my only disappointment.

I can certainly see myself getting a MED in the future to get duophonic going... it doesn't happen to expand the sequencer that way does it? Cause if so I'd probably order one right now. If it doesn't, is that something that could be implemented with the right OS changes? Not that I expect it to happen even if it could, just curious if it would be theoretically possible if it isn't already.

can't wait to get my hands one one...I bought the desktop edition thinking it would be enough and love the sound but hate the interface...(hate is too strong of a word I should say not crazy about it).

I'm the same. Love the synth, can't stand the interface. One of these days, MEK...

I can't count the number of times I start patching a synth, and about halfway through think "You know, the Evo would probably do this a whole lot better."

There was a thread about drones here a couple of weeks back, and a lot of folks praised it and that convinced me. I got a desktop version and it is just too good! I am actually finding the interface a breeze... Seriously. It's all there!

I just sit on my couch with the devil in my lap, headphones on, and get out of it hours late... I never even plugged a keyboard to it yet. It's been two weeks, and it's been all about the sequences and drones!

Thanks VSE for making me $400 poorer.
