could it have been the juno 60 as renowned to use a lot...?

Could be a DX7, or for that matter it might be something from a Fairlight CMI, which they used in the studio in that era.

It could be a DX7, but I kind of doubt it. They weren't big fans of digital synths, and that doesn't really sound like one to me.
It's most likely a Roland of some kind. I can't say that for sure, but I know they were into using Roland gear.

Also pretty sure it was the Roland SH-09. Sounds like it
They also used a Juno 60, and later on an Alpha Juno a lot. Fairlight too.

Was talking about this with my friend. Drum pad triggering the sh09 or juno60. You can tell the bass never repeats itself. Someone was playing the keys simultaneously for pitch changes.

Yeah, people seem to forget that an arpeggiator is a performance tool as much as a one-step route to repetitive octave parts.
