I purchased a non-powering AX80 a while ago to fix up, but haven't had any luck finding the right resources to do so since. I can't seem to find a service manual(thought I had one on an old hd), maybe I'll have to buy one? I have the owner's manual but theres nothing in it pertaining to schematics or parts numbers. Think its a matter of replacing the entire psu(or what)? Anyone had past experience in this matter(or an AX80 service manual)?
I found this : http://www.transanalog.com/manuals/Akai/ ... but can't find a purchase button: email sent.
thanks.

Re: Akai AX80 Power Problems
You might try emailing Mark Glinsky at Manual Manor. I don't see the AX-80 in his stock list, but the published list doesn't always include everything.
Switches, knobs, buttons, LEDs, LCD screens, monitors, keys, mice, jacks, sockets. Now two joysticks!
Re: Akai AX80 Power Problems
Mark didn't have the service manual; transanalog's price is $30. I'll give it a week for someone to chime in, then bite the bullet and buy it.
