Winter NAMM 2012
Looks like Moog is unveiling a new instrument, giving away one free in Animoog competition.

Any other interesting rumors from other companies?

Re: Winter NAMM 2012
Something modular maybe? They're halfway there with the XL, they've pretty much got all the other bases covered with the current lineup, except a poly or a drum machine. Can't think what else they could do unless they go digital, which will probably happen sooner or later given their recent job with Animoog.
Haven't heard much yet, some more analog from Korg would always be nice tho

Re: Winter NAMM 2012
I was perusing the exhibitor list and it would suggest Moog is probably the only company releasing a new 'instrument' that might be interesting to me. The other manufacturer hardware would be things that are just starting to ship or have been shown already. For instance the Accelerator, Jupiter-80, Solaris, and Tempest. Otherwise iPad apps and controllers will probably rule the roost.

Re: Winter NAMM 2012
If it has anything to do with them registering the name Minitaur, http://www.trademarkia.com/minitaur-85435534.html
I would guess a tabletop/rackmount taurus. If it has a built in pattern sequencer, it would be the bee's knees. I think the taurus 3 arp was most of the way there, it just didn't have the interface.
If not who knows. I hope something completely new.

Re: Winter NAMM 2012
If they were smart they'd stuff 4 or preferably 8 of those Taurus3 voice boards in a box for a polysynth...

Now you're talking - that Taurus had nice design I think, and more grunt than the Voyager IMO.

Bumping this thread on news/rumors of the Moog Minitaur. Guess we'll be holding out for that polysynth a while longer. Also, Akai is announcing a new MPC tonight at midnight according to matrixsynth.
Casio has something weird up their sleeve.

Really hope the new MPC isn't awesome in any way, after buying an Octatrack a couple of weeks ago.
That Casio pic reminds me a lot of the Venom.

New MPC looks a lot like Maschine to me, but with a lot more ins 'n' outs. Could be interesting.

Re: Winter NAMM 2012
I'm interested in this only because I want to see the reaction from all the MPC diehards who trashed the Maschine as NOT being needed. Now AKAI does the same product- I wonder if they will hold onto their same stance or suddenly see why an MPC+ PC is interesting.
