Re: Help with soundtrack sounds again
I didn't really hear too many synths, most samples/sample modulation. The opening creepy sounds just seemed to be a female vocal sample being heavily effected, aside from some very basic synth leads and basses throughout the entire thing that could be replicated on any synth it seems to be mostly built on samples/real instruments.
Re: Help with soundtrack sounds again
This a soundtrack by Simonetti / The Goblin (same guys who worked on Tenebre, Suspiria, Profondo Rosso, etc...)
It's from the 70ies, I doubt there is any sampling involved here.
Besides the bass, guitar and drums, the instruments on this soundtrack must be:
-A Mellotron for the typical tape choir at the beginning.
-A Minimoog or an ARP Omni or Odyssey for the synth lines and solo.
-Maybe a Logan String Melody in the background...
There's also strong Phaser/Flanger on most tracks.
Make a search with "The Goblin" and you'll find many interesting threads about the instruments they used back then...

Re: Help with soundtrack sounds again
Sandro Centofanti and Maurizio Guarini (ex-Goblin) played the synths/keyboards on this soundtrack, not Simonetti.
I believe Centofanti used a Minimoog and possibly mellotron. Guarini's keyboard setup at the time comprised of a
Moog satellite, Elka rhapsody 490, Rhodes, Hammond organ and a Hohner pianet. Guarini would later re-join Goblin after Simonetti
left the band to pursue a solo career in late '78.

Re: Help with soundtrack sounds again
That sounds right, I know that they used a logan string melody and mellotron on other scores. I need to get me one of those old stringmachines.
Thanks for the help guys, you are an amazing source.

A Kurzweil K250 is used for this song's violin track.
