I still can't believe it is from Arturia. What's next? An 8 voice discrete VCO synth with poly aftertouch from Casio?

I will probably buy one. The saw animation and wave folding effect are very tempting.

What I was getting at is when the Mopho was bashed for not having a multimode. I myself rather like a 2 pole to be honest, the SEM is one of my favourite synths of all time Just makes me smirk at the slack Arturia are getting that maybe a regular synth maker may have had a bit gripe aimed towards them in the last couple of years. Or maybe the forums are growing up

It is possibly one of the only synths for a number of years that makes me want to go and buy it straight away.

A multimode filter should now be the norm for any serious synth module. But owning a SEM myself makes me wonder about the necessity of getting a MiniBrute; Morphing a 2 pole LPF + notch or notch + HPF is even better than having just a regular multimode.
Otherwise, I'd prefer a dual multimode filter or a multimode followed by a resonant bpf just like the SH-5.

Anyway, having a sh-101 + a SEM makes leaves little GAS for buyeing a Minibrute.

Yeah, it's perverse how intent most synth manufacturers are in re-hashing the same goddam filter that's been floating around for the last 40 years or so. I can definitely see overlap with the SEM here, but the wave options definitely add something to the mix.

Watching the namm videos etc I notice a lack of any sort of gui or web based editor. Is that correct ? Everything must be controlled via the synth itself ?

What better interface can you have than to actually turn the knobs on the synth itself ?

It's not that retro an idea, unless you are aged under 18 and don't remember a time before the interweb

i think its fantastic, Arturia couldnt have hit the market with that at a better time

I think these days we have too many options for editing and presets, I know I fall into the trap of just cycling through presets on stuff
