roland uk sent out a feedback survey yesterday - maybe others have had it aswell. My opinion is that they're an irrelevance to modern synthesists, though they make good audio interfaces/PCM ROmplers and V-Drums.
Roland, may you continue to ignore the analogue revival and peddle your PCM-workstation-lites to the cabaret acts of the world. You'll make money and continue to exist, and we'll take our synth pennies to Arturia, Korg, Elektron, Moog and DSI. Every 5 years or so we'll buy one of your audio interfaces, maybe. Don't stop making the V-Drums, though - they're great.

Like it or not, the jobbing keyboardist who does weddings, barmitzvas etc. is the one with the actual cash to buy a Roland. Unfortunately, composers of electronic music with the assumed artistic integrity usually don't have any money. Those of us who like to just make bleeps and bloops as a hobby are a teensy tiny market in comparison.
And furthermore- it's been said before, but I'll say it again. The V-Synth is amazing. But no one bought it. Let's see how well Korg do with the new MS-20...
