Re: Korg Kross announced
Probably a replacement for the Microstation, which may explain why the price on them seemed to drop about 6 months ago. It will be interesting to see what the price is.

I'll put it lightly - f**k Korg with all their cheap consumer c**p! They've terribly degraded gear quality standards over the years.

Yeah, and f**k Korg for being the one big company listening to their customers too. Right ?vladimotor wrote:I'll put it lightly - f**k Korg with all their cheap consumer c**p! They've terribly degraded gear quality standards over the years.

Can't wait for the Korg Kross Kontroller in special "black" reverse keys edition.

Nice touch to throw in an Electribe style sequencer too.

Re: Korg Kross announced
Yes, well, the Kross is likely to come in at about $200 cheaper than anything comparable from Roland.
Re: Korg Kross announced
If Korg announced the Kross with a tacky hype campaign too, then I'd be just as flummoxed as I was when I saw the Roland campain.

Sounds like someone got a faulty monotron...vladimotor wrote:I'll put it lightly - f**k Korg with all their cheap consumer c**p! They've terribly degraded gear quality standards over the years.

Dude, settle down. It's okay. You don't have to like their stuff. Just remember to be respectful of people who do.vladimotor wrote:X50, MicroX, another MicroX(why?!) Also tried garbage like TR, Karma, R3, MicroKorg XL, Microstation etc...Sounds like someone got a faulty monotron...

Re: Korg Kross announced
their sub-$1k synths HAVE been getting awfully lightweight over the last 5 years , and their USB nanos are lighter than a paperweight. but then the poly800 is pretty light and they've held up for almost 30 years.
those synths are relatively cheap-to-nothing compared to others, and yet are desirable because they're user-friendly to a degree, and musically quite capable. they have to skimp on sturdy building materials, so they're not really designed to be giggable - or even moved around much.
some might say they're designed more along the lines of being 'disposable', even.
