you seem to enjoy that just a little bit too much.Stab Frenzy wrote:They're already in stores kiddies, just not in your country.

Damn, I was told mid-september still. Mid october blows. What's the deal with this situation? You would think Korg had to have known they were going to sell a lot of these.

Just had a quick look on eBay and I count no less than 25 various Volcas available right now. If you're that desperate for one buy one on there, you don't have to wait until they're in stores in the US you know.

yeah, but they're all from Japanese price gougers. Part of the allure of these is the $150 price.Stab Frenzy wrote:Just had a quick look on eBay and I count no less than 25 various Volcas available right now. Re: New analog boxes from Korg?
I'm going to start releasing videos, soon.
I've had these things for a couple of weeks, now... and I'm absolutely floored. I was concerned that because they're modern, and they seem more focused towards EDM, that they might not be what I'd really be into. But my concerns were unfounded.
This is inexpensive analog done right... and do NOT be mislead... these things are REALLY capable.
• the filter on the volca bass follows the design of the MiniKorg 700s.
• the LFOs are audio-range, and can be applied to the filters
• the delay is lo-fi and deliciously gritty
• the bass is full-range. Not a bass at ALL. And, it has three gosh-danged oscillators... that are POLYPHONIC in sequencing
• volca keys sound GREAT as a polyphonic OR as a multiple-option monophonic... and not just sound "great," but sound analog.
• the touchpads are fun and inspire interesting playing... but if you hook these things up via MIDI to a synth that has MIDI and audio in, you have a gosh-danged multi-oscillator ADD ON to your analog synth.
• Come on... battery operated great-sounding analog you could carry with you at any time?
I am absolutely in love. These things are worth a LOT more money.

I had already drunk the 2013 Korg Kool-Aid. This pretty much seals the deal. Where will the KORG 4 LIFE tattoo go...forehead? Calf? Chest?Automatic Gainsay wrote:I am absolutely in love. These things are worth a LOT more money.

Re: New analog boxes from Korg?
I paid $359 for all three... why would I pay $650 or more for all three? I'm desperate because these were supposed to ship months ago and I already paid for them. It just seems silly for Korg to have a hit and then not deliver.Stab Frenzy wrote:Just had a quick look on eBay and I count no less than 25 various Volcas available right now. If you're 'desperate' you can get them albeit at a higher price, if you're not 'desperate' you can wait and get them for cheaper.

Use of these words alone make me want to remove my hat and start humbly weeping over the graciousness of Korg.Automatic Gainsay wrote: gosh-danged
