Re: New Elektron Machine
If this thing costs less than $1000, I'm going to have to buy it.

Re: New Elektron Machine
Kick a*s. I doubt I'll be able to afford one in the immediate future, but it's great to see more analog keyboards as opposed to just modules, especially polyphonic ones.

Re: New Elektron Machine
how can you charge that much for a 4 voice synth? the mopho x4 is 1300, the original analog 4 is the same price, but without a keyboard. I'd like them to try to sell me on why it's worth that price.

Re: New Elektron Machine
I'm glad they didn't glue the keys to the side of the machine like they did with the mono machine keyboard. That looked kind of half assed, this looks awesome. It's What I hoped the mopho x4 would be (four voice multi-timbre analog synth with independent sequencers) I'm very curious to see the price now
My modular so far: Q104, Q106, Q107, Q108, Q109 x2 , Q116, Q118, Q127 w/Q140, Q130, STG Wave Folder, playing with Moog Voyager, VX-351, CP-251, MF-104M (x2 STEREO!)

Re: New Elektron Machine
Poly mode in the next normal a4 os, this new keys version and a secret machine that is totally new to be revealed soon. Busy boys.

The A4's bad a*s sequencer? Effects?Kidney05 wrote:how can you charge that much for a 4 voice synth? the mopho x4 is 1300, the original analog 4 is the same price, but without a keyboard. I'd like them to try to sell me on why it's worth that price.
Everyone I have talked to that owns an A4 loves it. I might get one down the line. But definitely not the keyboard version. I guess 3 octaves is enough on a 4 voice synth, but with the A4, it's really more about the sequencer.
The DSI P'08, Mopho & Tetra synths all seem kind of boring to me unlike the Evolver synths, Tempest and P'12.

Re: New Elektron Machine
Then again, a proper keyboard will be better to enter notes into the sequencer rather than the tiny 'keyboard' buttons on the A4.
I guess I'll wait a few more days for Elektron to release the official specs before I make a decision.
The guy in the video definitely needs to stick to just making beats rather than trying to make anything musical...

Re: New Elektron Machine
I've been wanting to get an analog 4 for a while now if they can keep this under 1500 this will probably be my next purchase
