NAMM 2014 thread of broken dreams
So somebody has to start it, what do people want/expect/demand at NAMM? Sure there's gonna be the new elektron box and heaps of amazing new modular gear, but who else is going to be crying that Roland haven't got a $500 Jupiter 8?

Re: NAMM 2014 thread of broken dreams
Haha, a 500$ jupiter would be nice. But I would rather have Roland release a D-50 vst. That should be much easier and realistic. Korg did a great job with the legacy pack, years ago.

Re: NAMM 2014 thread of broken dreams
hehe gotta love VSE
Ah probably the only thing I'd like to see is a new V-Synth (keeping my hopes up), and a Moog Poly. Either one of those would be swell

A new V-synth would be nice, but I'd be satisfied with updated drivers for the original, so it can work with Windows 7/8. Not holding my breath.Hybrid88 wrote:hehe gotta love VSE![]()

Re: NAMM 2014 thread of broken dreams
What I would LIKE?
Waldorf announcing a "super-Blofeld" rackmount/desktop (roughly the same size as the Virus TI) synth that has all the Waldorf digital synth oscs/wavetables and filter models, extra polyphony, 3 stereo outputs, a stereo input, a knobby interface and a sexy brushed-aluminium chassis (with, as is typical for Waldorf, labels printed in some obnoxious clashing color... that said, I'd love it if they used purple because purple and silver are my favorite colors apart from black).
Will it happen? I have no idea but probably not. However I'd love it to happen.

Yes, me too. An updated XT with more polyphony, a new folder management system and the annoying clicking bugs when encoding samples fixed. And throw in a third osc.Hybrid88 wrote:Ah probably the only thing I'd like to see is a new V-Synth

Yeah, that Elektron box. I have quashed all GAS at the moment as i'm really happy with my setup and have no more room, especially not for keys.

Re: NAMM 2014 thread of broken dreams
we always want a moog poly. I think a new breed of moog modular would be more along what moog is making right now
And personally I wouldn't mind seeing something new from access. A Ti3 or a virtual modular system (nord g2 anyone?).

Not expecting one, but I'd love to see what Korg would come up with if they did a proper analogue poly.
Other than that, I'd like to see 2k off the price of a Prophet so I can afford one...

Re: NAMM 2014 thread of broken dreams
Due to extenuating circumstances, I've been out-of-touch with most of my reps and haven't heard squat about anything coming out. I guess this is the year it's all a big surprise! I'm curious about the Elektron box, too, though I doubt I'll do anything about it. It would be cool to see Korg do either a poly analog keyboard or an analog EMX, but those are things I always expect and wish for them to do, soooo ...
$500 JP8, eh? The last I heard was they're bringing it in at $499 street, with availability beginning Feb. 1 in Japan and 2018 for the rest of the world.
