There was a Jupiter 8 and a prophet 5 for sale very local to me the other day, both were listed for £1300. Must have been a scam. I was tempted to go and see though.

Rjd2? As in deadringer rjd2? What's the story with this?
Re: To the person who snapped up the Jupiter 8 for 3500
some days, the bear gets you. i happened to get the bear that day.
for the record, it needs work. voice #5 is dead. the mod button is either shot, or needs an extremely thorough cleaning. the whole thing is massively out of calibration-autotune doesnt get the remaining 7 voices in tune enough to record with, and the performance section is VERY wonky. cosmetic condition is fair-not terrible, not great. early version, no midi and no DCB or wingding-20 harness or whatever. most of the control pots need cleaning.
it's all doable, just needs some love. and it's going to a user/player/recorder, not a flipper, so yea....theres that. it found a good home.

Goddamnit I was 20 emails deep with that dude about that thing. I told him I was ready to go and then an hour later you posted - an apparently you sniped it!
I have license plates that read Jupitr8! They went on the car I bought (desperately needed) instead of the synth at the time.....I had written them off as unattainable.
But, I digress.....to the victor belong the spoils!
You'd better make some sweeet sweet love to that thing...

Congrats. Although, I think 3500 is a bit expensive, for 12 bit version with problems.rjd2 wrote:some days, the bear gets you. i happened to get the bear that day.

Here's another one if you're near Toronto. Although I'd be surprised if it hasn't been snapped up yet - the advert is over a day old!

i tried so hard to grab it before he did... i even got a warning for violating the rules posting directly in the sale ad - no one can say i didn't try!
if i had gotten it i could say the same thing... i wouldn't flip it i'd go get it fixed and use the s**t out of it
