Re: #Selfie Synth
I love ninja and commodore.
But I also love girls and beer.
Just sayin', bitches.
Yes, I'm drinking a lot of porter. What of it? You're not my mom. f**k you. Come at me.

I'm lukewarm on ninjas, but beer and Commodore 64 I'm all about. Just had the beer at Thirsty Pagan, now I'm gonna do the Commodore 64.

Re: #Selfie Synth
Ninjas were every private 80s druglord personal elite army! Shame the handsome muscular hero always whipped dozens of them with the back of his hand usually. All that elite training did them no good at all. But they were great at somersaulting everywhere.
And on the C64, there were no better games than The Last Ninja games. It all comes together now.

Re: #Selfie Synth
I picked up an MSX a couple years back. Great stuff - shame it never caught on much outside Japan.

Re: #Selfie Synth
MSX was pretty big in Europe too, specially Netherlands. It was more or less a PC standard that various manufacturers could add extra ramm serial/parallell ports or diskdrives or whatever they wanted to, as long as they didn't change the whole architecture. Games should work across all MSX's. I believe MSX stands for MicroSoft eXtended.

We got bored of talking about how much the song sucks. Or how much this or that forumguy's opinions suck. Ninjas and C64's don't suck. Ever.

Re: #Selfie Synth
pretty much. I was dismayed when cleaning out my father's things to find a c64 box only! No idea where the thing went. I remember him playing a star wars game or something on it when I was little.Bitexion wrote:We got bored of talking about how much the song sucks. Or how much this or that forumguy's opinions suck. Re: #Selfie Synth
If I never type LOAD "*",8,1 again, I wouldn't die unhappy. That said, SID6582's bloody rock. And, I've never met a ninja, so I have nothing to base opinion on. I'm sure they're warm lovable creatures as long as they're not choking you the f**k out, or whipping shuriken (sp?) at you.

Ahh, you impatient kids today. LOADING is a sign to go have a leak, get a cup of coffee, and come back. Computers today should show that kind of consideration for the user.

Anything saisan, huh? Now that you're in the philly area, have you been to tired hands in Ardmore? They do some of the best saisan's I've had so far. I would even put them above hill farmstead.silikon wrote:If I never type LOAD "*",8,1 again, I wouldn't die unhappy. That said, SID6582's bloody rock. Re: #Selfie Synth
Kids? I'm almost twice your age. I've got s**t to do. I can't be wasting my life waiting for 100K of program data to load. Been there for years, don't need to go back. You youths think it's fun and kitschy to watch a disc creaking along at a few hundred baud... that shite was part of my working collective for too long.
It's fun to reminisce for a couple hours here and there... don't get me wrong; but more than that and out the window it goes. I'll take my chances with a Ninja wielding swords.

Can't say I have. I got lost just this weekend (again) trying to find the cricket grounds over in Exton; it's likely going to take me the better part of the summer months just to get the lay of the land around here. They should warn people when moving here: "Roads are extremely confusing, signs merely here for further obfuscation; GPS is useless. Good luck!"ninja6485 wrote:have you been to tired hands in Ardmore?

Re: #Selfie Synth
Its a challenge to even start the game! Im not like most, I was spoiled with the instant gratification gaming of the early 90's. It was not until I was getting to be around 19/20 I got curious about the things I never had access to. Then In a way I learned the stuff in a reverse-engineering sort of way. I love it though. Its gratifying in a lot of ways. Even just starting a game. Silikon posted that, right when I was about to post this.

Is it trash or treasure?
