The SEM never did AFAIK.Synthmatic wrote:Looks interesting but no mixer controls.
AH, I get it. They are balance controls for saw v pulse from each oscillator? So 12 o'clock would be "0"? So do we know how the switches on the new one function? Could they be level controls?Synthmatic wrote:Three knobs at the bottom of the VCF section:

They look more to be on/off functions.madtheory wrote:So do we know how the switches on the new one function? Could they be level controls?
Both the SEMs and Two Voice are also under Marion SystemsHybrid88 wrote:Interesting, I wonder why he's brought back the Marion Systems name? Looks like everyone is going back to their roots these days, with Sequential, Arp and now Marion Systems.
Might mean that he can mass produce them more than with the "Tom Oberheim" brand, because as we know despite being great recreations they don't half take a while to get to market.
Yes, when I mailed my Patch Point SEM to Tom for the "Pro" upgrade, my check was made payable to Marion Systems.dubnspace wrote:Both the SEMs and Two Voice are also under Marion SystemsHybrid88 wrote:Interesting, I wonder why he's brought back the Marion Systems name? Even though the new SEM reads tomoberheim.com on the rear panel, it also reads "Marion Systems Inc." This name has been around for quite some time -- so far Tom has not been as lucky as Dave to have received his trademark name back (or Bob Moog some fifteen or so years ago, for that matter).Hybrid88 wrote:Interesting, I wonder why he's brought back the Marion Systems name?
