The soundcloud demo sounds fantastic.

A Prophet 6 with Oberheim filters??!!
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

I'm so tempted to sell my still-malfunctioning OB-Xa for parts to help fund this...

My M12 stays, even though money needs to go toward new screens.

Those effects on the Ob-6 pushes it all over the top. I would need to sell too many other goodies to make this happen. Maybe next year there will be a module version.

There's so much to Dave Smith's career, so many pioneering milestones...and one would have to say his ability and willingness to collaborate is one of its most important hallmarks.

$2,999 street, which is in line with other DSI synths of similar quality like the P-6 and the P-12.

Booting up the M12 has quelled my strong desire to preorder. For now. This new OB-6 looks like a fantastic machine for anyone wanting to get into the Oberheim sound, the demos convey that to me in spades. I'd still love to audition one in person anyway.

Dave Smith is going to market a CS and a JP killer inside the next year at this rate,

I'm all in on the OB6, the P6 is amazing, can't stop getting useful stuff out of that machine.
