Songs with Juno 106
Since we had songs with Juno 60, why not songs with Juno 106?
I can start: Colonel Abrams Trapped (apparently, the bass is a Juno 106).
I Like To Move It by Reel 2 Real (bass synth is a Juno 106, preset A63 according to another forum).
So can any one else think of a song that used the Juno 106, either modern or 80's/90's?

Re: Songs with Juno 106
Mark Kelly of Marillion had one MIDIed up to a DX7 for the Misplaced Childhood tour and I think (but I could be wrong) that he used that combination in the studio alongside his usual gear (CP70, JP8, PPG, Emulator, Minimoog).

The Cool Notes - Spend The Night (1985)
See my thread about the track: http://www.vintagesynth.com/forum/viewt ... 75#p566875
The consensus was the Juno-106 was used in this song.

George Michael used that synth a lot. And i'm pretty sure he used that synth on Faith album (along with Roland D-50 and couple of other synths).

Also used a lot by Benny Blanco (who also uses Korg Polysix, Nord Lead, Virus TI Polar, Yamaha Portatone and Portasound keyboards, Moog Rogue, Sequential Six Trak, Casiotones/Casio VLTone/Casio SK-1, and a Fantom X7 as I have seen), Dr. Luke (who also uses the Prophet 5), and Jeff Bhasker.

Re: Songs with Juno 106
Rob Hyman from the '80s rock group The Hooters was known to use the 60 and 106 interchangeably. He certainly used a 60 for Cyndi Lauper's "She's So Unusual" album but when The Hooters went to tour in '85, he's seen with a 106. The song "All You Zombies" uses a pad sound that sounds just like one of the 106 presets, but it could very well come from a 60 (he uses a 106 in the music video...)

Re: Songs with Juno 106
Reese Wynans is seen using one in the promo vid for Stevie Ray Vaughan's cover of "Superstition," and I'm guessing that's probably what he used on the track.

It's all over Vangelis' Direct Album - particularly the piece "Elsewhere" which uses a well known J106 preset.

Re: Songs with Juno 106
Oliver lieb used one at least on the first spicelab album lost in spice, and probably on subsequent L.S.G, spicelab, and other albums he's done with various monikers around that time.
This looks like a psychotropic reaction. No wonder it's so popular...
Re: Songs with Juno 106
no idea which songs (guessing the ones from the Jilted album?) Prodigy Liam here with a 106.

Re: Songs with Juno 106
No Coke by Dr. Alban uses the J106 for the bassline and the chords.
Madonna's True Blue album uses it but for which songs?
Animal Collective uses one as well as an SH-2 in many of their songs.
Maybe Micke could give us a whole list of songs with 106 in them.

And in this live concert William Orbit tweaks the 106 for sound fx.

Re: Songs with Juno 106
O wow, I didn't know Orbit did "Strange Cargo" live. Hinterland is one of my all time favourite albums. He used the Juno 106 for everything, especially bass and effects. In the breakdown of "Million Town" he uses the keyboard tracking the filter trick for lovely atonal sounds.
