Re: Your latest musical purchase
That Synclav keyboard is not going to make any sounds with just the keyboard - I know as I have one as well. It needs a mainframe to go with it (which I don't have).

I finally acquired my fourth CZ-101. You know what that means...

Re: Your latest musical purchase
Scored a VFX-SD for $180. Quite a warm, fat sound for a digital synth, not to mention some of the most gorgeous pads I've ever heard!
Waveforms, and filters, and knobs. Oh my!

Nope, but I have been working on that coy look, and being a tease in general. Oh, Vince...synthroom wrote:Walter Ego wrote:I finally acquired my fourth CZ-101. You know what that means...

Keylab 88. Had it for a few days. Best feeling 88-note controller with a ton of assignable controls on it. Build quality is top notch, too.

Re: Your latest musical purchase
Just bought the first gen DX7 for $80 today, which I thought had an issue with the internal memory or dead battery showing weird characters on the internal memory patches, but I just loaded the cartridge patches and it appears to work fine. The internal memory patches were probably accidentally deleted or something. Great sounding factory patches, very iconic, although you could probably get more interesting sounds by programming it; gotta learn the more difficult FM synthesis!

Got a Streichfett the other day, it's really nice. Bigger than I was expecting, I'm so used to Euro sized stuff now. Almost pulled the trigger on an Analog Keys that was at a great price but I stopped myself. Ditto a Mirage for a stupidly low price.

Re: Your latest musical purchase
Picked up one of these yesterday:

Not really a synth, but might sound good fed through effects.

The controls. Faux woodgrain's seen better days, but not too bad overall.

Gotta love Savers..........

Re: Your latest musical purchase

Will pick it up when I'm back in the UK. I'd have preferred an 8080 but there aren't any around so this will have to do until one turns up.

Korg X5DR. I've regretted selling my 05R/W for years but only just got around to replacing it with the upgraded version. Looking forward to playing around with it again.
