Kawai K1 gives out noise on the 8th note!

Post by robphys » Wed Apr 11, 2018 2:59 pm

I recently picked up a Kawai K1 that had a few wonky keys. Fixed them but found that on some patches (not all and can't work out which type either - happens on some 4OSC or 2OSC patches) the 8th note pressed gives a very noisy distorted sound.
Had a look at the MB and nothing obvious like bust caps or corrosion and checked all the cable connections.

Any one with any experiences of this or any ideas how to solve it?I love these early 90's synth - good weird sounds (if you forget about the acoustic emulations) and so cheap at the moment

Did you ever get this issue sorted out? I am curious if there is a fix. Thanks!
