K2000 output failure

Post by Pregorf » Mon Jan 07, 2019 9:48 pm

Hi. I've powered up my old K2000 and it only sends a signal for from the top note on the board down to the Ab above middle C. The rest of the board is Solent. It still transposes up or down but no signal from the bottom end. Any thoughts, help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Hi and welcome aboard,
the keyboard uses 2 ribbon cables that connect to the mainboard.
According to your description, it could be that the lower ribbon cable is not connected properly.
Check both sides of the lower ribbon cable especially the red connector that is under the keyboard.
The problem could be more complicated , but for start make sure that the ribbon cables are making proper contact.
It is all about sharing...
