So I just learned that there were some DW-8000 synths sold in Germany called Version E or Expanded, which added external audio input to the synth's Digital Delay, 16 additional waveforms and 64 additional patch memory locations.
Does anyone know how to add this modification to "non-E" DW-8000s? I did a search online and could not find anything.

Re: Korg DW-8000 - Version E (Expanded)
Hi Z,
I have only heard of the Turbo expansion made from Musictronics.
https://www.deepsonic.ch/deep/docs_manu ... elcity.pdf
Waveform expansion is possible :
http://www.strellis.com/dw6000.shtml
Audio input modification for the delay should not be difficult to implement.
Could it be that the called Version E, is just a musictronics turbo expnsion + waveform expansion+ delay input mod?

Re: Korg DW-8000 - Version E (Expanded)
Hi again Z,
upon further research , here is what I have found out.
The so called Version E was an expansion / modification manufactured and installed by Vertrieb Marburg , the German KORG distributor at that time, and it was approved by Korg.
Some units had an extra button installed which is different from the factory buttons.
I am attaching a pic of the button and the E Version manual.
I think that chances of finding this expansion are rather slim. :-/
