Judging by the livery, the lack of CV/Gate ports, this is a late MK I Model 2800. serial 282984
Judging by the sound I get, this does in fact have the Moog ladder copy filter in it (as the Mk I did not incorporate the 4075). But a second source would make the confirmation firm.

Afaik, all MK I's including the black & gold ones originally came fitted with the 2-pole 12db/oct 4023 filter (somewhat similar to the Oberheim SEM).
The 4035 filter, a slightly modified 4-pole 24db/oct Moog ladder design, was first used in the Mk II Odyssey model 2810.

In my current setup, my oldest piece of gear is probably the Roland D-550 (circa August 1987). I also have a Yamaha TX802, but I think it hails from late '87 or early '88. IIRC the warranty card with it showed a sale date somewhere in Jan. 1988.

Though I'm a lot older. I had moved out on my own and was dating my first girlfriend when those two aforementioned synths rolled off the conveyor somewhere in Japan.

I once had a Korg Polysix but don't know what its date of manufacture was. They came out in 1981 IIRC. So that would be the oldest piece of synth gear I've owned.

indeed! The whole keyboard's bushings need to be replaced- some of the broken/dried/cracked were causing the keys to stick.

You can always open it up and take out the board and see to be sure what you've got in it

I think my Dynachord Echocord Super -tape delay? I have no idea of the exact year when it was produced. I've got quite a few items from the 70s, but they're mostly from the end of the decade. The synths produced during the first half of the decade tend to be stupidly ridiculous in this part of the world, so I haven't been able to get any. Been recently eyeing for a SH-5 or something like though.

I might have this in the bag. My oldest piece of gear that I actually use is a civil war bugle. I actually used it in one of my tracks.

Some of the other old stuff is two 1947 CV's and an old S-6 chord organ.

I have one similar to that (not the same, it's a different colour & some of the control positions are different), but it's not here at the moment as I've no room for it. Can't remember what make & model it is.

1969: EchoPlex, great fun with brass/woodwinds! (you too can sound like Don Ellis!) mostly breaks tapes...
1972: early Moog Satellite, The Lunar Bell sound is too trippy! Good for screwing up organ solos with grace notes!
1973: Roland SH-1000, good for "those little dugga-dugga bits" with the techno-dance-trance stuff.

Right now, synth-wise it would be the MiniMoog. I think it pre-dates the CS-50. it's a relatively early serial number.

Non synth it would be either the '66 Hofner Beatle bass or the Morley Wah. I haven't done any resaerch on the wah pedal and I'm not sure when they started making them.

I used to have a Precision Model 108 Snooper geiger counter from the 1950's but I sold it on Ebay.

The oldest piece of gear I have recorded on is a piano from the 1890's or early 1900's. It lives at my sister-in-law's house in Germany.

This thing survived two World Wars as well as a Russin occupation in Berlin. Russian officers lived in the apartment where the instrument was housed for a while.

I'm sure those guys partied pretty hard back then ...
