I understand this topic is almost als old as the iphone but I want to give it a shot anyway. Downloaded the sets by Stepaphane Pigeon and am very keen on getting them into my XV3080. When I send then by midi-ox or GetIn the synth reacts. Messages are recieved, but nog changes are made in my synth. This has probably to do with it being a strange kind of midi and no sysex. Is there anyone who has these files in Sysex? Or knows how to translate the files into a format the XV3080 can read?

Roland XV-3080 loading sysex
I am working with my old XV3080 again and want to send a user bank to it with patches written for the (in)famous SR-JV-80-04 card vintage synth but my machine doesn't respond. I can send the midi but inside nothing happens. I have the files in a .mid format and I am thinking that exactly that might be the issue. anybody any ideas on how to solve this?
These are the files I am talking about:

They appear to be MIDI files, so load them into a sequencer and play them into the XV3080. The sysex is buried in the sequence. It's a common way to load patches without requiring the user to figure out how to send sysex files.
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

I have to ask but do you also have a SR-JV40 card installed in the XV3080? I thought that any patches written for a particular SRJV card also requires you to have that card installed in order to access card data specific to that patch.CloudRidersNL wrote: ↑Thu Jan 07, 2021 12:27 pmI am working with my old XV3080 again and want to send a user bank to it with patches written for the (in)famous SR-JV-80-04 card vintage synth but my machine doesn't respond. Is your XV on the correct MIDI channel embedded in the files? Is sysex receive enabled?
