YM3012 DAC

Post by DX21 » Mon Apr 15, 2013 7:04 am

Hello there, I need a Yamaha 3012 or B model DAC from any YM2151/YM2164 powered machine. I'm not sure if there's a difference between the regular one and the YM3012B model, but if you know that it wouldn't work, please enlighten me.

I'm willing to go up to $5 on paypal and would very much like to find a local person.

Also, would anybody know where a good place to source these chips from would be? I know arcade boards use them, some of the DX synths like the one I'm repairing, and some of the cheap keyboards like YPR-7

Thanks :)

Sorry to jump in your thread, but do you happen to have a tx81z transformer laying around? I've got one here that is half fried and has no audio outputs. Can't seem to find an easy replacement.

I need to build a simple amplifier circuit for the ch1 and ch2 outputs, can anyone suggest something? I'll be going out through an audio summation circuit on the host device that this is feeding the audio into and that device is then pushing out a composite output with an audio signal.

I tried using a LC2274 and using one of the opamp gates in it, the audio is coming out but its way too low and I am not sure what is the best way to get some good volume out of the DAC, any help would be greatly appreciated.
