Re: Casio CZ-230s?

These were sold in department stores to home users who might otherwise be looking at a Casiotone keyboard instead. You get the CZ-101 sound engine, 96 uneditable presets and 4 memory slots that can be programmed over MIDI plus a basic drum machine that can play up to 4 sampled drum sounds plus up to...

Re: Korg Wavestation WS1

Another question - does anyone know whether the PCM or PROG slot memory cards possess a battery? There are two types of cards, ROM cards do not need batteries and RAM cards do. The Korg MPC-series ROM cards contain new progs/combis. The Korg MSC-series ROM cards contain new PCM samples. Since ROM d...

It might help if you rewrote your post without so many typos. PO12? OP12? Do you mean a Pocket Operator Rhythm?

We'll need a lot more information from you before we can get you going.

Have you gone through this procedure yet?

Re: Novation Bass Station 2 and Arturia Beatstep Pro

Not sure what you mean about "trigger the arpeggiator". The arpeggiator starts when you hold down one or more keys (or send one or notes over MIDI to the synth). Unless you activate the hold, it stops once all notes are released. The BeatStep is a sequencer, send the BS2 some notes over MIDI. Send M...

Re: Fix for Korg MS-20 Mini Modulation Generator

Does your power supply put out 1.7A at 9V? That's the rating of the MS20 Mini supply. If the current (amps) is too low, that might account for your problem.

Take it back to the shop. Either they find the original power supply or you should ask for a refund.

Forget about using sync, use MIDI instead.

Re: Poly 800/no place for internal battery

I had a Poly 800 that didn't have the internal battery, but it did have an empty spot on the circuit board ready to solder in a battery. Why they didn't actually install the battery is a mystery to me. If yours is one of these, it's easy to locate the empty spot, install a battery holder and pop a C...

Re: Sequencer sync

You want to press start on one and have the other start as well?

Short answer: no way to have the Minilogue (or any other MIDI device) start the Volca sequencer.

Volca has no support for MIDI transport messages.

The Minilogue can send or receive MIDI transport messages, though.

Re: Step Down American Synths/Gear in Europe

All of the gear on your list is too old to have universal 100-220 power supplies.

If you purchase a proper step-down converter, it's perfectly safe. Maybe some Euro members can give you advice about where to locate them.

Re: Korg Triton Tr not starting up

Good to hear. Sounds like a bit of corrosion on the chip pins, that would have shown up sometime in the future, anyway.

Re: Poly 800/no place for internal battery

The original version of the Poly 800 indeed had no internal battery. Instead, it depends on the four C batteries being present. Yeah, stupid.

Sorry, have to ask this...

Does "whenever I power it on" mean "whenever I power it on with the SD card inserted"?
