Re: Envelope Trigger Question - Delta
Unfortunately, that's typical Delta wonky trigger behaviour - both examples I owned did the same thing. I just tended to leave it in single mode.

Re: Flute sound used in Propaganda "Frozen Faces"
That album used PPG system heavily, it could've very easily been a Waveterm sample. This song, in particular, used much PPG percussion plus the infamous sax sample. If you listen to the flute, it has the 2.3 distinct aliasing in the lower pitches that is much apparent - the Fairlight series III and ...

Re: Ensoniq ESQ-1 hidden inside the Breakaway Vocalizer toy?
Yes, it has the same engine - don't know about external editing - however, most importantly, there is no filter. As you know, the the ESQ-1/SQ-80 "sound" is three digital oscillators going through an analog, resonant filter.

Re: drum machine (minimal wave recording)????
getting fed up with the OP - he seems to want to be spoon-fed everything without even really experimenting or even really knowing what minimal wave is. i'd say stop replying.

Re: Minimal wave tips??? Ensoniq, Moog, E-mu
Honestly, just start off with the mastering the ESQ-1 - it's very easy to understand, the sequencer is easy to use and will give you the basic knowledge behind sequencing, the synthesis is straightforward too and will give you a solid knowledge of subtractive synthesis - plus it has drum sounds, so ...

Re: Modulus 002 --- new synth from UK
the envelopes don't sound that snappy to me - if this is a high-end synth, i'd better hear attacks and decays as tight as a mini or p5.
and these are hardware envelopes?

Re: 4 Op DX synths Vs 8 Op DX Synths
Everyone always forgets about the V50. It's one of the last DX style synths Yamaha made in that series. And it has eight part performances. When you load in eight brass sounds all detuned a tad, it's one of the realest fake brass sounds I've ever heard. Also, the sequencer is solid. Loved that4 op ...

Re: Omni 1 and a stone phaser
well, the basic tone of the performer is more nasal sounding IMO and the ensemble effect is of a slightly different design, but with an omni and small stone, if you can't get satisfying disco strings, then you should give up
just use some outboard eq to achieve the type of tone you want.
