Re: sh-09 oscillator wackiness.. can I repair?
thanks guys. So if indeed it is the caps in the power supply, then I'm guessing what's happening is the other circuits on the synth are getting really inconsistent voltage and that's what's causing all the wobblyness?

sh-09 oscillator wackiness.. can I repair?
Hi there.. I have an SH-09 with some issues. The tuning is very unstable. Sometimes it will hold tune for quite a while.. maybe 30 minutes or so, but usually it is wobbling all over the place. another thing I have noticed is that moving just about every slider will nudge the pitch around. Very stran...

Help! I have one day to decide if I keep this Akai AX60!
Hello everyone. I grabbed an AX60 at my local consignment music store for $225. A good price! I love the synth, it's very usable. However, there is one problem. The slider for envelope amount is non responsive! :( :( :( So my question is, what is the likelihood that I pop this open and clean it off ...

i just want to share my experience with my G4 800mhz.. it's an ibook w/ 640 mb RAM, so granted, it's not the fastest thing in the world.. but when i hook it up to my Presonus Firebox, I can barely get any performance out of it, no matter what I do.. that's at 16/44 with a relatively high buffer.. I'...

more Sh-09 woes.. help!!
ok.. so I fixed one problem with the SH-09, there was a key contact that was jammed down against the j-wire. (actually johans fixed it..) ok.. so now i'm faced with another issue. When the synth is being controlled through external CV and Gate, the pitch will periodically fluctuate irracticly.. It s...

well.. you asked a loaded question that's for sure... first off, your sound card doesn't effect what happens when you render(export) a project in FL to wav. not one bit.. what it does make a difference is is your monitoring. in other words.. when you are makin your beats and mixing them, your stock ...

I played it in a music store and found it to be far weaker than the competition for far more money. what is it with korg? they make gimicky garbage now. whats the deal with the optional keyboard thing? Korg are making money off the fact that they're old synths are so highly regarded and they try to...

yea.. there's a lot of hype.. each of the major synth manufacturors of old, have filters that sound unique.. different people like different ones. there's a lot of hype about which is the fattest.. but who cares.. moog filters sound great of course, but so do Roland, Yamaha, Orberheim, Korg, etc. I ...
