Yup. Just a ground wire.

Need more pics. It appears to be come sort of ground. IE: Connect anywhere to chassis. However, that is not stock. Without seeing where the other end connects to, its anyone's guess. (Possibly costly/deadly too!)

4. FILTER MAINTENANCE - After every 100 hours of oper-
ation apply a sine wave to the output of the FILTER
to back flush the trapped overtones to unclog your
filter.

Than it sounds like a chip, not a contact. If it was a contact, it would happen on the same note every time.

Disclaimer: Not an expert

If its only a few notes (ie: middle c, A# 4th octave, etc) its sounds like a contact strip. Basically, no velocity, note on off only.

But, again, no expert here.

For $500, that looks and sounds like a fun box!

Stop exaggerating. Its only 310. The pedals, bench and tone cabinet add the extra.

The additional patches would be great for a performance synth. In this day, I wouldn't be using a Prophet as my performance synth.
