It sounds like you got the clock sync functional. Now set you midi channels on the keyboards to be different. Keep in mind that hte JP8000 uses two midi channels in split mode.

The "mushy foam"" description sounds like ozone exposure. Foam speaker surrounds can fail due to ozone exposure.

Re: JD-800
Be sure to check the keybed. There is the infamous dripping red epoxy issue. Also verify the mechanical switches. I replaced a few of the patch switches and all of the key contacts on mine. It is a great keyboard. The value of the JD-800 can also be increased by accesories like the memory and sample...

Re: How to fix a noisy Oberheim OB-8 keyboard?
I ordered the key contacts from the California Sequential Circuits repair location. http://www.winecountrysequential.com/ I took my keybed apart and sent them a photo of the contact strips. They had identical grey replacement parts. If I recall correctly, there are two different contact strip types....

Re: How to fix a noisy Oberheim OB-8 keyboard?
I replaced the key contacts in my OB-8. Plays smooth now. (Panasonic)
My OB-Xa needs the bushings repaired. It has that mechanical noise issue. (Pratt-Reed)
Maybe somebody swapped your OB-8's panasonic keybed for a Pratt-Reed?

Yeah, there needs to be some type of editing program created. I need some means of learning the magnitude of parameters for a program and mix.

Re: ob8 patchbook?
I recall reading in the manual that you must hook up both the input and output to get the ground. Only one port has the ground to attempt to minimize any ground noise.

Well, all of DocT's demos are great, but this is my favorite track yet.
Please post a longer version and bump up the vocals in the mix.

Hi, can anbody provide a link to the OB-12 manual?
