I am still using a S1000 for Hip Hop drums. Once a friend and I A/Bed a S1000 and a MPC3000 and the difference in sound quality was almost indistinquishable to us. anybody use velvet...er..the softsynth that is
hard to find any meaningful reviews on the web. Thinking of going that route. I know its only RTAS which is a bit of a bummer but I've used Protools extensively in the past.

looking for 60- 70's style drumming CD ROM
I am looking for a drumming loop CD with the kinds of sounds that bands got in the 60's or 70's with overcompressed snare and very dry sounding, similiar maybe to easy listening or MOR type music like the Carpenters or something.

I'm trying to hook up my CS1x via USB midi device to cubase. I will get hanging notes and sometimes only allows me to play one note every 4 or 5 seconds.
