I use a Roland D2 as extended drummachine, or I build custom kits in Live with samples. I really prefer hardware programming. I'm also looking for a new drummachine, more easy to program, with a grid like the boss series or TR-style. I have an opportunity for a TR707 but I dont find it very suitable...

How to repair a data wheel?
Hi,
the Data wheel on my Roland D2 is starting to wobble when it is turned, and gets less and less precise in its functioning.
Is there a technique to repair data wheels?
thank you

like you, after getting bored of fruityloops, I bought my first hardware machine, a D2, and happily used it as standalone for a few years before upgrading my gearlist. I think grooveboxes are a good start, and the 505 is a good machine. If you are a total newbie, I would suggest you not to bother to...

I have a Roland D2, which have the same sound engine as the MC505. the difference between the 2 models is mostly the interface. You get a large variety of sounds for all styles - from realistic drums and percs to TR-style, CR blips. classical instruments - good pianos, eps, organs, as well as a very...

I like fairytales, finding a 5$ synth that has a special mark making it a rare item worth thousands.... sometimes I also dream of finding a Mimimoog in a rubbish can down the street, but I always wake up. anyway, an educated japanese (if he speaks english, it means he's educated) would never use ter...

I had a SK1, a commodore c64, a blues harmonica, a sh-t hondo guitar I borrowed with a chorus pedal and a crackling amp. sometimes I would borrow a psr or some yamaha drumpads from a friend. I recorded reggae and punk songs with friends on the mic input af my stereo using walkman headphones. I start...
