V-Synth! We own all kinds of samplers, EIII,EII, E4 Platinum, MPC 2000XL,3000,1000 and a V-Synth XT. Just a few months ago picked up a V-Synth keyboard for $600 and really looked at it more of a sampler we could "play" live. I must say that the V-Synth is such a great sampler for the money these day...

Yes, that unit has effects. If it has S/PDIF, the effects are on that unit as well. It's all on the same "upgrade" from E-MU. Zip drives in the ESI's are a mess. Stick with an external. I put a 9 gig card reader in my ESI's.

Like Mad said yes. I own both that are the Turbo versions. I was making Zip disks for a pal (owns a 4000) and call me crazy, the ESI 32 sounded "warmer". The effects were off on both units as well.
