I have a Yamaha PSS-170, a 2 operator FM synth. It has a few good sounds (and my wife likes it.) I also have a Casio SK-1, the famous lo-fi sampler keyboard. It's fun. Over the years, I've probably owned over 20 home keyboard synths - mostly purchased in second hand stores although I did buy a coupl...

I like reface CS, Microkorg, and the JU-06a. The Microkorg has a lot of sound designer patches you can buy - and some are really good. I almost bought a 15th anniversary edition Microkorg last month, but someone beat me to it. I really like the silver face on it. Korg will likely do a 20th anniversa...

Tangerine Dream: The Lost Miami Vice Recordings.

Just kidding, but it does remind me of Jan Hammer's drums and late-80s TD. Nice work

https://soundcloud.com/matti-juhana/alesis-andromeda-moogie So, after selling my Jupiter-6 a while back, I spent the money on an Alesis Andromeda that I received yesterday. So far, I've barely even scratched the surface, just been doing basic programming to get acquainted with the interface and sou...

First recording of Chroma Polaris. Needs a recap and some loving care. Though it sounds pretty good as it is.. Also the first time I used the iPad to interface my hardware stuff, lovin' it.

That sound good!

All sounds except drums were made with my Korg EX-800. The EX-800 is unmodified. All factory patches. Wow wow echo is from a Sony DPS-V55 effects processor.

Yamaha TX816, full I have a TX802, and it's pretty full sounding, but I've heard that you can get super lush with a full 816. Unfortunately, I don't have a spare grand to find out. $1K is about twice I usually what I see them sell for. There's one in Dallas for $700 that I can broker for you if tha...

Complete Roland System 100 Not mine, and I don't know the seller, but I was shocked to see it as Colorado Springs isn't what you'd call an electronic music town. And $3400 may seem like a lot (probably haggle down to $3000) but the 101 keyboard synth, expander, and sequencer are each getting a $100...

Sounds good Rob. Believe it or not, those are some of the best demos I've heard in ages. Your keyboards mix well with your vocalist - never one getting in the way of the other. You have a good chance of advancing the Sheffield musical legacy.

I think that the short, high synth in Genius of Love was an ARP Odyssey. I don't remember where, but I think I read that somewhere recently.

Excellent sequence running through this. Very TDesque.

I got hooked on Motorik beats after watching the BBC documentary on Krautrock. Mine is less flow and more pop, but the motorik beat is there:

Omotesando Free Spirit

For my birthday, I got two softsynths: the Arturia Moog Modular V2 and the GForce Virtual String Machine. They are as different as night and day in both function and sound. The Modular is a CPU hog like no other. However, I love it's sound. The VSM can be anything from beautifully lush and epic to t...

Man, I love what I just heard on Episode 39. That's some of coolest and mellowest electronic music I've heard for a long time.

BTW, loved your Special Star Trek show too.
