Folktek Synth Guts?
I'm so curious about the guts of the Luminist Garden series... does anyone have any info or insight into the build of these pieces? http://folktek.com/instruments/electrocoustic/luminist-garden I have an Eowave Space Bug that needs some more organic tonal exploring under its belt and I'm tired of us...

Re: C/G Bolsa Bass vs. Yamaha CS01
I completely spaced Mutable gear!!! Thank you so much... a kit would be an awesome project, and definitely fits into the sound/price range/portability that I am looking for

C/G Bolsa Bass vs. Yamaha CS01
I'm in the market for a cheap, portable analog synth specifically for bass sounds... I like how these two fit into the fq registry, and their lo-fi-ish sound.... so I was wondering how you good people thought they would stack up against each other in an ALL-OUT circuit/sound grudge match....

Re: Gear Identification
I've seen him rock an SH-101, I think that was the main piece used in Tobacco. I remember reading that somewhere in an interview, like on xlr8r.com or something

Re: Using CV to control lights on stage
Thank you Steplogik,StepLogik wrote:Maybe you could use a CV->MIDI box and then MIDI->DMX?
My thoughts exactly! I want to believe it's possible to do... when I find time and some extra money to get a midi-->dmx converter, i'm hoping to put this to the test

Using CV to control lights on stage
I'm looking to find some information on using CV in conjunction with lighting while performing. Does anyone have any good resources or could point me in the right direction with links or personal experience. My idea is to route and control lights with moogerfoogers. (if at all really possible?) Any ...

Re: Burning Man and gear
many thanks for the advice, IG, i'm gung-ho but i'm thinking i will just brink my es-1. If it does get damaged, it will give me an excuse to invest in an ESX.
Tallow, apologies man if it was a repeat... i was in a hurry and needed some quick advice.
thanks fellow VSE-ers!

Burning Man and gear
So i'm one of those crazies heading to Burning Man this year... My band is slated to mob a massive sound system and i was thinking of bringing two of my electribes. Is there anything i could do to protect from all the dust? I have a guy who will hopefully be able to clean them up after the burn, but...

Wall-E sounds and vox
those of you who've seen it, any guesses as to what all was used. I believe it was Skywalker Sound who did the post-production soundwork. The sound design was phenomenal! any guesses? i am willing to venture a guess that a lot of the bleeps and boops were software based. I want to say that the ship ...

DSI Evolver desktop
Has anyone thought about, or has done any type of customization to the unit? I was thinking about building some cool little wood ends or a box for it to sit in. Has anyone done anything aesthetically to their DSI Evo? or at least thought about it?
if so, post some pics...

I think its a pretty sweet combo, i personally like the digital -esque sounds of the Radias, which if/when i'm making industrial or anything heavier like that... i love some piercing digital sound. and the tribes are stellar for anything beat oriented, the ESX bit decimator is AWESOME for anything l...
