Novation D-Station question
I'm looking to sell a Novation D-Station that I've had for a while, but I'm just looking for what would be a reasonable price range (it's clean, works fine, etc.). I see Drumstations on eBay between 3-400$, but I can't find too many details on the D-Station. I have a guy coming to check it out tonig...

Novation D-Station
I've had a Novation D-Station for a few years now, love it, but have recently thought of maybe selling it, as I'm not using it as much. Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'm just wondering if someone has an idea of what reasonable price I'd be able to get for it. Ebay has a few D...

Roland .SVQ files
I have a disk with .SVQ files that I had saved back when I was using an XP-60 years ago. I recently bought a JV-2080 and would like to somehow upload the performances so I can edit and record them properly using a better set-up. Is there any way to access .SVQ files in order to do this? I know Rolan...

Re: No power on Mirage
If you're confident in your skills, Absolutely not, haha. Thanks for the suggestions, but the closest thing to a multimeter I own is probably a digital microwave. I'll try to check the fuse and hopefully that will be the issue. If not, I'll try to give your suggestions to somebody more knowlegeable...

No power on Mirage
I just bought a Mirage for 20$ knowing it didn't turn on. The guy said it used to work fine and then he stored it in a closet for about 4-5 years, and now he can't get it to work. Any chance that it's something obvious and relatively easy to fix? I have no repair skills whatsoever but for 20$, I fig...

Re: Want to know more about the Ensoniq EPS 16+?
Amongst other things, I think it's rather excellent for vocal samples (I've always found that it helps to give them a bit of extra life)...

Synths on Chris & Cosey, John Foxx & Cabaret-Voltaire
I was just wondering if anyone could give me specifics as to which synths were used on these tracks. Just some songs I've really been enjoying lately and out of personal curiosity, was wondering what they used... Chris and Cosey's Exotika Cabaret-Voltaire -The sound they use on the opening for Ghost...

Books on sound design
I'm looking for something to help me out in regards to designing my own sounds. I have a decent general understanding of the whole oscillator-filter-amp concept, but I don't have much (literal) hands-on experience yet. I might be getting a Supernova II tomorrow and I'm rather anxious to start tweaki...

Cleaning MMT-8
Just picked up an MMT-8 today for a good price, but I once I got back I noticed the damn thing reeks of cigarette smoke (I haven't actually made a habit of smelling gear before I buy it). I'm just wondering how dangerous it is to actually take it apart to be able to clean the case properly. When I s...

Delta 66 / Phonic Mixer
Anybody have any feedback on these 2 following items? 1) M-Audio Delta 66 Professional Audio Card with S/PDIF 2) Phonic 1002a Mixer Original Listing I have a couple of decent synths and I'm slowly starting to try and do the typical "build your own home studio" thing. I figure I should try and hook u...
